Rebecca South is our fearless leader and the owner and founder of Rebecca's Restaurant. She opened the restaurant when she was 24 year old, and this is our seventh year of operation! Rebecca is a tireless worker who always makes herself available to her staff, friends, and family. She and her partner Will live in Riverport with their sweet border collie Pan Pan. They are currently renovating their house to become and air B&B to be done this spring. They will be moving to their sailboat for the summer in Mahone Bay! 
Rebecca owns and runs multiple Air B&B vacation homes which are located on the Western Shore and in Bayport.  Rebecca is an avid sailor and boater who is most happy when she is outdoors. She is available for speaking engagements on the topic of entrepreneurship, and is often consulted about how to start and run a business as a young person living in a rural area.

Rhiannon started spring of 2020. She is excited to be working with this team and to be among inspiring individuals. Originally from Ontario, she moved to Nova Scotia six years ago, fell in love with the South Shore and then bought a house in Mahone Bay two years later with her husband, Peter. She is an animal lover and goes on hikes with her husband and two dogs, Fable & Hopper, while exploring the Maritimes. She loves taking photographs and is excited to utilize her creative side with the combination of her retail, marketing and managerial skills in her new position at Rebecca's. 

Since the very beginning, Jessica has been one of the mainstays of our Rebecca's hospitality family.  Not only a dedicated server, Jess is also very busy growing her own business as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Holistic Nutritionists dive deep into the roots of your health concerns and emphasize alternatives to conventional medical treatments in certain situations, which can be safer and in many cases more sustainable in the long term.  Jess is going to be contributing her vast knowledge of food and nutrition to our website & restaurant.

Always a hit with customers and a real tourism asset to Rebecca's, Mev speaks three languages- French, English and Spanish. She is originally from Val-des-Mont, Quebec and has many hobbies that are truly evidence of her awesomeness- skateboarding, dirt-biking, skurfing (water-skiing on a surfboard!) and boxing to name a few. Mev also enjoys more pensive pursuits like drawing and reading and is a certified yoga instructor.  In the future she plans to build a tiny home in the area and seeks to find balance in her life, and new ways to help other people. Mev says she loves working at Rebecca's because "It just feels like home here, I like serving food that I would make myself."

Laura is originally from Halifax, but for the last ten or so years (before coming home) worked in the United States in the Florida Keys, Islamorada to be exact!  Laura now hangs her hat in Chester, sharing her home with her husband and her black lab Shadow. In her spare time Laura can be found outside on her property, alongside the tractor, doing landscaping, cutting firewood and generally enjoying a Nova Scotia country life.  Laura says she loves her job here at Rebecca's and plans to work here until she retires. And we are happy to hear it, because we love her!

Anna has been with Rebecca's for a couple of years. Originally from New York City, Anna and her family moved to Mahone Bay after falling in love with this beautiful province over 3 years ago. In addition to exploring Nova Scotia's wonders, she loves hiking with her pup, cheering for her son's hockey & soccer teams. Anna is a pleasure to work with as she is always so positive! She finds the silver lining in everything and its a breath of fresh air! 

Maddie is originally from Halifax, but grew up on the South Shore in the summers. She fell in love with the south shore and made the move out 2014 to crescent beach area. She started with us this spring and has become an integral part of the team. She has amazing knowledge on wine that is very captivating. On her down time you can find her surfing, hiking and pretty much anything else that has to do with the outdoors. She is a jack of all trades, and you probably met her at the Lunenburg Farmers Market. She is currently going to school to become an accountant. 

Aine has known the majority of the staff for a long time, so every day she gets to be with her friends so it doesn't feel like work. Áine has travelled all over the world and until recently was in Dawson City in Yukon. She came back to Nova Scotia due to the pandemic, but is glad she did. She missed the south shore of Nova Scotia and loves working at Rebecca's. You can hear her beautiful singing while she serves the customers as she has a natural talent for it. Her father is Paul Maclellan who you can hear on our patio throughout the summer. Apple doesn't far from the tree. Aine is a delight and moves effortlessly around the dining room, while making everyone feel at home! 

Leanna is a BC girl born and raised. She has travelled parts of the world, tho she claims she has yet to see everything. She met her husband in Alberta and eventually they made their way to Nova Scotia. They have been here for over a year and as much they miss the mountain climbing in BC, they have fallen in love with the people and east coast terrain. The coastal life is a refreshing change and they are always discovering areas of the province to explore. While here, they have taken on repurposing a school bus for their tiny home living. Leanna loves to talk about her renovating adventures, has a contagious laugh and humour that can make anyone chuckle even if it is at her own expense.
